Psychosexual therapy is the
new name for sex therapy. The change in
name shows recognition of the part our mind
plays in sexual desire and fulfilment.
Working with a qualified sex therapist gives
you and your partner the opportunity to
talk openly and honestly about sexual problems
and insecurities.
Sex therapy can help with problems such
as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation,
lack of sexual interest. pain on intercourse,
anorgasmia, or phobias resulting from early
physical or sexual abuse. As with relationship
counselling, you may come on your own or
with your partner.
Often, the therapist sets specific ‘homework’
tasks and exercises which you are expected
to complete at home.
